A body is not a template.
Ape Theory Fitness builds training around the individual relationship between structure, movement, force, recovery, history, environment, and goal. The method does not begin by forcing a person into a preset workout category. It begins by determining what that person can express, tolerate, control, and progressively develop.

— Theory of Intensity
Intensity is not simply how exhausted someone becomes. It is the appropriate combination of effort, resistance, range, position, volume, speed, and recovery applied at the right time.
Ape Theory Fitness calls this the Theory of Intensity: an internal coaching framework used to determine how much stimulus a person needs, where that stimulus should be applied, and when the program should change.

Evidence indicates
Resistance training can improve strength, hypertrophy, power, muscular endurance, physical function, and other performance outcomes, but the exact prescription should depend on the person and the intended adaptation. Different combinations of load, volume, range of motion, effort, and frequency can produce different results.
Ape Theory interpretation
Because the prescription depends on the person, the method spends its first two stages establishing who is in front of us before any loading decision is made. The Theory of Intensity is how those variables are chosen — an internal framework, not a finding from the literature.

Structural Capacity
Before high intensity can be productively expressed, a person needs sufficient positional control, usable motion and load tolerance for the chosen task.
BStrength Architecture
Strength is specific to movement, load, range, position and skill. Maximum output grows through organized exposure rather than constant maximal testing.
CHypertrophy & Physique Architecture
Muscle development requires enough high-quality exposure that a person can recover from. Fatigue itself is not the outcome.
DHybrid Strength & Endurance
Strength and endurance can coexist when total volume, sequence, recovery and priority are managed deliberately.

Aging changes the dose and the constraints, not the usefulness of developing strength, muscle, balance, power and physical independence.
